Quinten & Alma

QB: We met in the fall of 2023 on Hinge. From when we first started talking, we knew that we had a lot in common, including our Catholic faith, emphasis on family, and love of ice cream. We messaged each other for several weeks to get to know each other better. During our first scheduled FaceTime, my video was not working, so we switched to a regular phone call instead. I am very grateful that Alma gave me another chance after that technology malfunction. AV: From the very beginning Quinten was very easy to talk to and I could tell right away that there was something very special about him. QB: Our first in-person date was in December 2023. We went to Brio Italian Grille in Easton followed by Johnson’s Ice Cream for dessert. I asked Alma on a second date when I was driving her home after Johnson’s because I really wanted to see her again. Our second date consisted of Chick-Fil-A in Columbus followed by Pins. Alma also picked up a puzzle for her family to work on over Christmas during our second date, and this is where we got our first picture together. Over December 2023 and January 2024, we met up as much as we could with the busy holiday season. I officially asked Alma to date me on January 21, 2024 as I was driving back to Tennessee. AV: We spent a lot of time together during that first holiday break. Quinten was very intentional about driving to Columbus to see me, which I appreciated a lot. QB: Alma visited me in Tennessee in the spring of 2024, and that weekend trip saw our relationship continue to develop. AV: This trip meant a lot to me because I was able to see a small bit of what Quinten’s life in TN is like. We toured campus, Knoxville, and went to Mass at the Sacred Heart Cathedral – which is SO beautiful! QB: Our relationship further developed in the summer of 2024 when I was living with my parents for the summer break. We saw each other multiple times every week, and we enjoyed each other's company very much. AV: We got to meet each other’s family and friends in the first half of that summer which meant a lot to both of us. We also attended two weddings together. Those were a lot of fun and I loved seeing Quinten’s moves on the dance floor! QB: Near the end of July 2024, we both decided that we were ready for marriage. I asked Alma's parents for their permission to marry their daughter in August 2024, and they said yes. Alma came down to my house for Labor Day weekend, and we had an amazing weekend visiting Gatlinburg, making homemade pizzas, and decorating water lanterns. AV: I had a strong suspicion that he would propose over Labor Day weekend in TN, but he didn’t! QB: I went to Ohio the weekend after Labor Day, and proposed on September 7, 2024 in a park in Columbus. Alma’s family was already going to be in town that evening, so we celebrated our engagement with her parents and nieces. AV: I remember being surprised of course but also just so happy. We both later expressed an overall sense of peace and security in starting this next chapter of our lives. QB: We cannot believe all the blessings that God has bestowed on us, and we look forward to celebrating our wedding day with you!

To avoid traffic from the concert attendees, please avoid State Route 66. From Minster you can take State Route 119 to I-75 and then head South towards Piqua.   TENGA EN CUENTA: Country Concert será el mismo fin de semana de nuestra boda. The parking lot at The Fort Piqua Plaza is limited but there is plenty of street parking around and a valet service will be provided.   Hay un amplio estacionamiento detrás de la Iglesia de San Agustín.
