Q + A

Where is the wedding? What is the easiest way to get there?

Our wedding will take place at The Church of the Resurrection, 501 E St SE, Washington, DC 20003. Please see our "Travel" page for information on transportation.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card? When is the deadline?

Since Alma and Howe will both be moving during their engagement, we ask that you please RSVP online to avoid mailing address mix-ups. If you have difficulty RSVPing on our website, email howlma24@gmail.com. We request that you kindly submit your RSVP by August 30!

Will you be live-streaming your wedding?

Yes! For our loved ones who can't travel to be with us, we hope you are able to watch online. Follow this link, and a few minutes before the ceremony begins, you will see the livestream pop up on the page. https://www.youtube.com/@RezChurchDC/streams

May I bring a guest to the wedding?

While we wish we could welcome any and all guests, we are unable to accommodate plus ones, unless specified on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

What will the weather be like?

DC is usually beautiful in October, with the average temperature during the day in the high 60s. At night, you can expect it to get into the mid-40s. Many tourism websites and locals would say October is the best time to visit DC, as you avoid the summer heat and humidity!

Will the wedding be outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony will take place indoors, in the sanctuary of the church. The cocktail hour and reception will be located in a heated tent, next to the church.

May I take photos during the ceremony?

Our wedding will be a ceremony of worship, so we ask that you do not use your phone. We have an excellent photographer who will be capturing the moment! Feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like during the reception.

Is this an adult-only ceremony?

Not at all! If your children are listed on your invitation or it's addressed to your whole family, feel free to bring them. If you would like a high-chair available during dinner, please reach out at howlma24@gmail.com so that we can provide one!

Is there a wedding dress code?

Ultimately, we are thrilled to spend the evening celebrating with the people we love. We hope that includes you in your best dress! We ask that guests wear cocktail attire (i.e. women in long/midi cocktail dresses, and men in suits or with a jacket and tie).
