How do I get to the venue?
Feel free to use a ridesharing app, especially if you intend on drinking.
If driving, put the address found on the invitation and RSVP page into your GPS. Once there, there is a large gravel lot behind the "Tipsy Goat" barn at the front of the property. There will be signage directing you to the location. Once parked, walk toward the large white house and loop around the back to the seating area and ceremony space. If you get there early, feel free to take plenty of photos, as the home is stunning (and we aren't saying that because we are biased;).
IF you have difficulties with mobility, our venue manager will have a large ATV that can shuttle you from the lot to the ceremony space, and back to each additional location as the night goes on. He is at standby to help your smiling faces get where they need to go!
What time should I arrive on the Big Day?
Excellent question! Please arrive at the venue 30 minutes in advance (4:00pm) to ensure everyone can find parking, a seat, and make introductions. If you are needed earlier, the bride will reach out directly.
Can I leave my car at the venue?
Great question. Beer and wine will be availble for all guests at the Cocktail hour and Reception, free of charge. If you have been drinking, please do leave your car. Rideshares are prevalent (think Uber, Lyft, etc.) so ideally, use one of those to get to and from the venue if you plan on partaking or secure a DD. If you do have to leave your car, please get it first thing in the morning, before 10am to avoid penalty from the Venue.
What should I wear?
For the day of, try to wear something in spring colors and more on the "garden party casual" side. This could be a sundress, slacks and polo or button up, or a fun patterned skirt! Please avoid dark colors and whites for the ladies. Below is a link to a Pinterest board with plenty of inspiration for you and your crew!

If you have any specific questions, please reach out to the bride or her maid of honor (Grace Deibert - (919) 961-3827).
Can I bring a plus one?
Great question! With our venue requirements, there is limited space and availability, so only those listed on the invitation are formally invited to the wedding. If confused, you can also go to the RSVP tab and search for your party. There, each individual with an invitation will be listed for you to accept or decline. Thank you for your understanding!
Do I bring a gift/card or mail it?
Aw, you're so thoughtful! If wanting to get a gift, you can either mail it directly to us via the online registry portals, or have it shipped to yourself and bring it the day of. A lot of you are traveling from quite a distance, and we will love and cherish it just as much if it's delivered ahead of the big day. The bride and groom will reach out directly if it arrives before the big day so that we can confirm delivery. Expect thank you cards after the wedding, so everyone can get them at the same time.
I went in to RSVP and saw a "Rehearsal Brews" section, but it wasn't on the invite... Am I invited?
YES! Unfortunately, we couldn't fit all of the weekends festivities onto those invites. Everyone is invited to a sort of rehearsal party the day before, consisting of snacks, free beer and wine, and of course, lots of mingling! All are welcome, just bring your smiling faces. Dress code is very casual, and there is plenty of parking in downtown Waxhaw.
What's on the menu?
Food's our favorite part, too! Plan for a buffet style of the bride and grooms favorites, including Cuban style pork rice and beans, Upstate NY speedies, and a chicken marsala option. Salad, desserts, and roasted veggies will also be available.
I have food allergies, what do I do?
Uh oh! We don't want you to have any sort of reaction. If you have a severe food allergy, please contact the bride to ensure that an option will be ready for you day of. If you have a food sensitivity or preference, feel free to ask one of the many food attendants about ingredients and they can point you in the right direction!
