Our Wedding

&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;In late Fall of 2014,&nbsp;Althea and Seyi met in their first year&nbsp;at Virginia Tech. When they met&nbsp;Althea was going through a difficult time in her life&nbsp;and Seyi showed up to just be a friend.&nbsp;Almost instantly, they&nbsp;were best friends. They&nbsp;hung out almost every day, shared&nbsp;tons of&nbsp;meals, went to VT&nbsp;football games together, and many times along the way&nbsp;were asked if they&nbsp;were dating. They always shut that idea down because to them they were just each other's best friends. For a year they were able to maintain that friendship until... Seyi realized that this girl was the best thing to happen to him.&nbsp;

&nbsp; &nbsp;On September 11, 2015 Seyi asked Althea out in Hahn Horticulture Garden holding a bouquet of roses. He believed that this was his forever woman and the one God had for him, so needless to say he was shocked when she said "No". He was so certain but she was not. She spent the next month and a half going back and forth between her head saying "No don't mess up the friendship"&nbsp;and her heart saying "Yes, he is the one". This stretch of time was pretty&nbsp;awkward for Althea and Seyi - he was still in shock and wanted distance and she was confused but still wanted him close by.













&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On October 29, 2015... IT&nbsp;FINALLY&nbsp;HAPPENED! Althea&nbsp;followed her heart and Seyi rejoiced hesitantly, but they were finally&nbsp;dating. They have&nbsp;dated for about&nbsp;4 years now! Although their relationship is not perfect and not been without its struggles, they have shared some&nbsp;pretty special &nbsp;times together. From hikes every April,&nbsp;&nbsp;to a&nbsp;Caribbean cruise, to lazy weekends,&nbsp;to fancy dinners and dances, to all of their other adventures, they have grown so close together and most importantly to&nbsp;God.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;









&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;On December 21, 2018 Seyi proposed! He told Althea he had a speaking opportunity back at Virginia Tech and instead surprised her by proposing in the exact same spot he had asked her to be his girlfriend 3 years before, this time holding a ring instead of roses. He even asked her in German, she responded in German, and it truly was the most special Christmas they ever had.&nbsp;













&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Now here they are, ready to&nbsp;getting married!! They&nbsp;CANNOT&nbsp;WAIT to celebrate with all of their friends and family&nbsp;on December 22, 2019. They are excited to share their special day with all of the people who have supported, prayed, and rooted for them along the way. What God has brought together in both of them is truly something special. They perfectly balance each other in all areas of their lives and they both have such a heart for&nbsp;people. They know that their marriage will be a journey and hard work but they are confident that with God at the center,&nbsp;and their family and friends around them to support,&nbsp;&nbsp;their marriage will grow and prosper for years and years to come.&nbsp;
