Our Wedding

Aly and Luke both went to SUNY New Paltz for college. Despite having many mutual friends&nbsp;- they didn't meet until the very end of&nbsp; college. A Fall night out at Murphy's,&nbsp;a regular stop for them both,&nbsp;changed all of&nbsp;that. Aly was outside chatting with a few friends when&nbsp;Luke walked out.&nbsp;Aly's friends&nbsp;knew Luke too.&nbsp;

Aly cracked a joke at Luke&nbsp;and that was that. The rest of the night they were inseparable - laughing, dancing, joking and Luke, singing. In a few short months, Aly was graduating and both weren't sure what the future held.&nbsp;













On December 5, 2012, Luke took Aly to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree.&nbsp;Luke turned to Aly and asked if she'd be his girlfriend and stick it through the distance. "Come on, Al, what do ya say?". Yes, of course.&nbsp;













Aly graduated and a few weeks later&nbsp;moved back home to Goshen, NY. Luke graduated that following Spring and moved back home to Eastport, NY. They&nbsp; made the 3-4 hour ride when they could and when they couldn't, that was okay too.&nbsp;





June 2016, Aly and Luke drove through a downpour in his dad's truck full of furniture an boxes.&nbsp;Luke's&nbsp;cameras, albums and books found their spots in Aly's shelves.&nbsp;

How we met...

On August 26, 2018, Aly and Luke woke up on a beautiful&nbsp;Saturday&nbsp; morning. Excited for a sunny&nbsp;weekend, they headed&nbsp;outside to spend the day exploring their Jersey City neighborhood. They walked down their favorite streets and stopped for brunch at Satis, a&nbsp;spot they'd been waiting to try for months. Aly had&nbsp;candied orange and ricotta stuffed brioche. Luke had&nbsp;more mimosas than usual.&nbsp; 

They set off to continue their walk. Aly said&nbsp;how she thinks they take their neighborhood for&nbsp;granted. Luke says "maybe&nbsp;you'll&nbsp;have a something to remember it by" and they keep walking.



They stopped at the end of the pier and looked at the city skyline. It was so&nbsp;bright outside and the river was gleaming. Luke put&nbsp;his arm around Aly. Aly&nbsp;realized&nbsp;in that moment what was happening. Luke, on one knee, says the four words. Aly, of course, yes.&nbsp;
