In the summer of 2018, Alycia and her friends from La Salle University decided to rent a shore house in Sea Isle City. At the same time, Sean decided to visit his friend who was also a part of the same shore house. Little did they each know, they would be meeting their future spouses.

During Fourth of July weekend, Sean asked Alycia to go out to dinner back home. They spent the summer getting to know each other and began to officially date right after Labor Day weekend.
