Our Wedding

We are so thankful for the story the Lord has been writing in our lives, and will continue to!Jacob and Alysa met in the fall of 2023 after Alysa moved back to Bloomington and had been attending Christ Church. After seeing each other around at church and other friend events, Jacob asked for Alysa’s number and asked her to join him and his neighbors for dinner. Alysa said yes and had dinner with them, but a few days later started getting confused because Jacob never reached out to her. She assumed he didn’t have any interest so she moved on but always wondered what was going on 😆 Fast forward a year, Jacob and Alysa were asked by Pastor Jonny to both help with the young adults ministry. He claims he wasn’t trying to set them up…but if you know Jonny this probably isn’t true lol. If you’re still reading this you should ask him for us. So Fall of 2024 Alysa asks Jacob to hang out as friends and after talking for 3 hours, she realizes she has feelings for him. Jacob asked her to hang out a few more times before asking her to go on a date to Tanners Orchard. After so much fun and spending an hour each way in the car together, they started going on more dates and hanging out with their friends together.A year flew by of really sweet memories but also hard conversations. This grew them closer together and learning to love each other with the love of Christ.For their 1 year anniversary they went to Tanners Orchard where Jacob proposed. He planned a sweet lunch in Peoria after and a celebration at Christ Church’s young adult harvest hangout that evening. Alysa loves that Jacob is kind, compassionate, consistent, cares deeply for those in his life, and loves them so well.Jacob loves that Alysa is passionate and dedicated to the people in her life. She pursues relationships with those around her and cares deeply for them. Alysa pushes others towards Christ. She is incredibly hospitable, loving, a servant to others, honest, and caring. These are just some of the incredible characteristics that Jacob loves about her. We are SO excited for you to celebrate with us on our special day! :)
