We first met through mutual friends who were determined we should get to know each other. We might have rolled our eyes at the matchmaking, but in the end, they couldn’t have been more right. From that night on, our lives slowly intertwined through the little moments and the big milestones alike. Now, we’re thrilled to celebrate what comes next with the people who have cheered us on all along.

The hotel is in downtown Austin right on the shores of Lady Bird Lake. It’s a 20 minute drive to the airport and 35 minutes north of the venue (we’ll have a shuttle taking people to the venue before the ceremony, and back to the hotel at the end of the night!). Breakfast for two is included and there is free parking. When booking the hotel, be sure to check the price with the hotel block code AND without! They often have special discounts on their regular rates. To use the complimentary hotel shuttle to get to and from the airport (available 7am - 10pm) call: 1-512-472-8211 and press 0 for the front desk.

The local bus system's <a href="https://www.capmetro.org/airport" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">line 20</a> has a stop at the airport that goes directly downtown and leaves every ~15min. There is also a <a href="https://www.capmetro.org/rail" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">limited rail line</a> that starts downtown and extends north.

We've generally had better luck with Uber in Austin, but both are available. Zilker Park is Austin’s iconic green space. Visitors can enjoy the <a href="https://zilkergarden.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">botanical gardens</a> or play a round of <a href="https://udisc.com/courses/zilker-park-dgc-RxQm" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">disc golf</a>. There are playgrounds and a <a href="https://www.zilkertrain.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">mini Zephyr train</a> for kids. You can also swim at <a href="https://www.austintexas.gov/department/barton-springs-pool" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Barton Springs</a>, which is fed by underground springs and is at ~70F all year round.

South Congress Avenue is a walkable district lined with local shops, restaurants, and cafes. Visitors will find a mix of vintage stores, boutiques, and art galleries, along with several well-known murals such as the “I love you so much” wall.

Rainey Street – A historic district where bungalow-style houses have been converted into bars and restaurants (Banger’s is a popular beer garden with food and an extensive beer list). East 6th Street – One of Austin’s best-known entertainment districts, lined with bars, live music venues, and restaurants.
