Our Wedding

Chloe is not just the maid of honor she is our biggest supporter, our best friend and someone we could both call for anything. She is definitely gaining a brother in law but I think it is safe to say Danny has had a sister for years now.

Fate landed us a couple doors down and sisterhood carried our bond through every stage of life from preschool to engagement. There is no way I could take this next step without her.

The big sister I always ran after and the girl who has the most amazing creative vision. I was always in the Everglades as a kid and even then Ariane thought I was crazy but she was the most excited for this full circle moment. Ariane is and has always been the queen of shenanigans I think it is only right that she be by my side for this one too!

Karly says I just pick some people and maybe that is true but if it’s true she’s definitely on that list because the potential I see in her is infinite. Knowing her teaches me something new everyday and having her in my life inspires me to always put the best version of myself out into the world.

Unconditional is a tattoo we both got on our hearts and at the time I never knew how often I would reflect on that sentiment. Delfina is my friend who taught me how to love unconditionally and I am so glad she did because I would never have been prepared for forever without first having a friend who walked with me through my lowest lows and my highest highs. She has taught me so much more than she knows and I know she will walk with me into this next chapter and all the ones to come. I am so lucky to have her in my life.

When I think of someone who embodies love I think of Briann. There is never a time where she is not thinking of others. She has shown me that marriage is work but it is the job with the best benefits on the market. When you find your person you put in effort every day no matter the obstacles to let them know you love them even if it is just sitting with them in their hobby to yap.

We both found ourselves in the same situation, new state, new school, same bus stop, living across the street, one of each others friends, Manny quickly became my best friend, through high school and the rest is written on the tons of adventures, experiences, trips, life events we’ve been able to share. Beads at The Beach

Nov 7th | 4:00 pm  Tap into your creativity this weekend!   We will be bringing with us supplies to make bracelets, key chains and anything else you can imagine to create with beads and string. We wanted to have family friendly activities for us all to be able to enjoy together which means the beads will be big and there will likely be some letters involved but all ages are welcome!

Camp Fire

Nov 7th | 6:30 pm   We will be hosting a campfire night one with light bites and some sweet treats. The light bites will be food that can be cooked over a fire. If you prefer a restaurant menu please visit the local restaurant prior to joining us. They do let you take your food to go so feel free to bring anything you’d like over.

Danny and I could not be happier with the support we have received for our wedding. The onsite hotel is now at capacity. We understand that there are still some people who would prefer an environment with air conditioning and will list below some nearby hotels as an option for booking as well as other amenities that this site has that are not blocked for the wedding.   Thank you all for wanting to join us!

This is the on site hotel and overlooks the gulf. Each room faces out to the horizon and natural landscape. For more information about the rooms click the link. To reserve a room call and say you are booking for the Reeves-Villegas wedding to get into the block!

We will be going down on Friday to enjoy the outdoors, rent kayaks and have a campfire. We have included a page titled things to do during your stay. The wedding will begin at 4:00pm on November 8th.

There is no block at this hotel for the wedding and there are other hotels in this general area if this hotel does not meet your needs. Drive time to the wedding venue varies from 45 min to 1 hour because it is all the way in the national park and depends on traffic in Florida City.

When Danny and I had first planned this wedding there were two lovely ladies who would have been at the top of our guest list.   Grandma Mary & Our Debi   When we asked grandma if we should rush to the altar and host our wedding in her hospice room she laughed and said no honey I want to be young at your wedding. So for our two angels we hope you’re able to attend as the versions of yourselves you loved the most because we loved every form you came in and miss you both dearly.

Packing for the Surprise 

Danny and I want this day to be a great day for all of us. We also know that if you’re invited to this wedding you’re probably going to need more than just the “surprise” title and athleisure description to plan your packing!   Really and truly we want you to be comfortable for the fun parts of our wedding. We also acknowledge that some of you will feel more comfortable with a bit of a packing list. Above are some examples of outdoorsy comfortable outfits that can be adapted to fit your teams color.   If you are a part of the grooms team your color scheme is grey.   If you are a part of the brides team your color scheme is green.

Packing for Friday

On Friday we plan to hike, explore, kayak, fish, go out on the bay spend time in the sun. We would love for you to join us. While we may not encourage swimming a bathing suit could be appropriate. The waters are crystal clear and the bay is known for being home to dolphins and flamingos. Pack attire for the activities you would like to do. The activities we have planned and the site amenities are listed on our things to do during your stay page. We are so excited to share our love for the Everglades with you. This day will be a bit of a free for all with certain events that we have planned to pull us all together with the goal being to have fun outdoors!
