It all started in 2015, when Ally salsa’d into her freshman Spanish class and locked eyes with Jack, who was lying on his side with his head propped up on one hand and a rose in his mouth. From that unforgettable first impression, a high school romance blossomed. They continued dating throughout high school, building a mutual friend group that they would later take with them to college.

After graduation, they headed to Athens for college, both majoring in economics. Jack worked as a tutor, and Ally became one of his students. She was easily his most argumentative student but also his favorite. Late nights in the library (often driving each other crazy) taught them how to communicate, compromise, and support one another. Over four years, their relationship grew stronger as they made countless memories and laid the foundation for a lifelong partnership.

After college, life took them to Washington, D.C., where Ally began her career and Jack started a new job. Moving away from family and friends wasn’t easy, but it only brought them closer. When their sweet cat, Dini, moved in, their little family finally felt complete.

Nine years after it all began, Jack, not known for his planning skills, managed to pull off a surprise. He decorated their apartment with candles, flower petals, and champagne and proposed to Ally, the planner of all planners.

Now, they’re so excited to celebrate the next chapter of their lives with all the people who helped them get here.
