We’re suggesting cocktail attire, but honestly, we just want you to feel comfortable! Whether you’re dressing to the nines or keeping it more relaxed, the most important thing is that you’re there to celebrate with us.

We won’t be providing transportation, but there are plenty of Lyft and Uber options available in the city. If you stay downtown, the Ali Center is within walking distance, so you can easily get there on foot!

Yes, there is a dedicated paid parking garage at the Ali Center. Additionally, street parking downtown will be free during the time of the reception. However, like most downtown areas, parking may be limited, so we recommend arriving early or using the parking garage if you want to be sure of a spot.

Yes, a full meal will be served at the reception, so come hungry! We’ll also have a full open bar for you to enjoy. Just a heads-up—if you look under 21, you will be carded, so please bring your ID. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Gifting is entirely optional, but if you’d like to give us something, we would greatly appreciate contributions in the form of cash. In lieu of a registry, we’re asking for money towards our new house, which we purchased in July 2024, as well as towards our honeymoon. Your generosity will help make these new chapters in our lives even more special.

For those traveling from out of town, the closest neighborhoods to the Muhammad Ali Center are downtown, the Highlands, Germantown, Butchertown, and Shelby Park. These neighborhoods are also easily accessible from the airport. Please view the “Where to Stay” tab for a list of our recommendations. The reception will be held in the stunning 6th floor event space, which offers a gorgeous view of the river and a beautiful sunset. Once you arrive, take the main elevators to the 6th floor and follow the signs to the Wingate wedding. We’ll have plenty of guidance to help you find your way!

We love kids, but to ensure an adult-focused celebration, we kindly request that local guests arrange for childcare and attend without their little ones. However, for our out-of-state family and friends who are traveling a long distance, we completely understand if bringing children is necessary due to the logistics of childcare. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making our day as special as possible for everyone!
