Some love stories start with a chance encounter or a mutual friend. Most modern love stories, however, start with a swipe right. That was the case with Alyssa and Andrew...

While she would have loved to have a beginning of the nostalgic or hopeless romantic variety, a visit to the App Store was what it took to meet the person who would quickly become the one she wanted to spend the rest of her days with.

Phone numbers were finally exchanged after two weeks of talking via app (Alyssa had to make sure Andrew was legit, right?) and a first date to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' was set for November 30, 2018.

"Wow, she's as pretty as her pictures..."

"Oh, he's handsome in person..."

Inner thoughts that were too nervous to be said out loud in those first few moments of meeting, but thoughts that eventually evolved into giddy glances and side-eye smiles because one knew exactly what to say to make the other *swoon*.

She's impatient and very particular; He's even-tempered and easy going. Alyssa likes things put away; Andrew treats the couch like a closet. He's a "textbook overthinker"; she reminds him he deserves more self-credit than he gives. Andrew's adventurous when it comes to food; Alyssa's happy with chicken tenders at any restaurant.

Simply put, Andrew is the "Chandler" to Alyssa's "Monica" in almost every way. With what is truly important in life, they are so in sync. With what Alyssa *thinks* is important, Andrew brings her back down to reality.

A first date led to a second... which led to a third... which soon led into 5 years of learning, growing, understanding and love. The kind of love that, when remembered, ends up having that nostalgic, hopeless romantic feeling after all.
