Kyle and Alyssa's love story began in the summer of 2023, when Alyssa first noticed Kyle walking Benny down Water Street in Wakefield. She thought he was handsome—but assumed he must be married because no way a single guy would have that cute of a fluffy white dog.

A couple months later, after feeling sad she had still yet to find her person, Alyssa was listening to “Somebody Save Me” by Jelly Roll, while she walked Boo down to Nasella Field, where a dog-park crew usually gathered daily. Upon arrival, Boo sprinted straight into the park toward that same handsome guy that Alyssa had previously seen walking on Water Street just a couple months prior.

This would be Alyssa and Kyle's first-time meeting—alone at the park—no choice but to talk. Both assumed the other was taken, because the moment felt like something out of a movie and too good to be true. So, the conversation was casual and "professional" - as Alyssa likes to recall how Kyle acted.

The next day, Alyssa went back to the park, but didn’t see Kyle, and immediately asked the crew about “the hot guy at the park.” They all spoke highly of him and secretly plotted to set them up. The following morning, Kyle showed up to the park, though this time, Alyssa was not there. Without Alyssa present, Kyle got bombarded with questions from the crew — “Are you single? Are you interested in her? Ask Alyssa out! She is amazing! She'll say yes!”

A week later, the dog-park crew created a group chat with both Alyssa and Kyle in it and arranged a "group" meet-up, which the group had no intention of actually attending. The park crew's plan worked perfectly, leaving Alyssa and Kyle alone again at the park with the two dogs. And from there, everything clicked.

For the next week, Alyssa and Kyle proceeded to meet every day—sometimes twice a day—walking their dogs and meeting halfway between their homes, just 300 yards apart. Kyle soon asked Alyssa out on an "official" date to Caffe Italia in Wakefield, and the rest was history, each knowing they had found their forever person.
