We matched on Bumble in April 2021, during peak Covid times, when dating meant more hand sanitizer than hand holding, and your mask game said as much about you as your profile. Still, we took a chance. Our first date was in Metuchen, where we had to eat outside (because indoor dining wasn’t even an option). We sat at a table on the sidewalk, six feet from the rest of the world but already feeling close to each other. Despite the weirdness of the world, conversation flowed easily, laughter came naturally, and that spark was definitely there. Since then, our story has been filled with music, Disney magic, and a whole lot of laughter. Concerts have become our favorite escape, and Disney World our happy place. So it only made sense that Eric proposed there in the middle of a hurricane. No, really. The entire plan got thrown out the window thanks to sideways rain and chaos, but somehow, he still pulled off the perfect proposal. A little soggy, a lot of love, and very on-brand for us.Along the way, we also built a little family with our dog, Loki, who filled our lives with so much love, laughter, and golden fur. We sadly lost him earlier this year, but he will always be such a big part of our story and if he were here, he would absolutely think this whole wedding was about him.Now, after years of love, laughter, and weather related plot twists, we’re so excited to finally say I do. And this time, we’re keeping it hurricane free (we hope).
