What happens if there is bad weather in Charleston?
We will be closely monitoring the weather leading up to the wedding. Our ceremony and reception spaces both have indoor areas if needed. In the event of a hurricane where evacuation is necessary, we will communicate with guests directly.
What time should I arrive to the ceremony?
Please arrive to the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist at least 15 minutes before the ceremony is to begin.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We kindly ask to refrain from using phones or taking pictures during the ceremony. We're very excited to have a wonderful team of photographers and videographers who will be capturing every moment of the day.
How does communion at a Catholic wedding work?
All practicing Catholics are invited to receive the Eucharist during communion. Non-Catholic guests may choose to remain seated during communion or join the line for a blessing (place arms across chest by touching opposing shoulders). We respectfully ask that you not receive Holy Communion if you are not Catholic.
When do I go to the reception area?
Feel free to start arriving for Cocktail Hour at 5:00 pm, however please be seated no later than 6:00 pm for dinner. Note: Check out our "Things to Do" tab while waiting for Cocktail Hour to begin!
Can I bring a guest? Children? Pets?
All invitees will be named on your invitation.
Who do I contact if I have a different question?
You may reach out to either of us! We also have a wedding email if you do not want your message to get lost in texts: alyssa.anthony.minute@gmail.com
