My Friend Laura had invited me to her Physical Therapy graduation dinner. I was told that it was a two-day affair and to plan on staying the night. The first night I went and ate at her parents’ house with her family, being welcomed as one of their own. The second night I was enjoying the time with mutual friends when someone walked in late. As he took a seat next to me as Laura introduced us. She told me his name was Ethan, a childhood friend. Soon after we struck up a conversation that I didn't want to end. At the end of the night, we exchanged numbers with the promise to see each other the next day. I had no idea that I had found the love of my life. All I knew was that he made me smile and gave me butterflies.

Ethan's version-

Running late, and almost missing, a dear friend’s graduation celebration. I arrived late to a cold and rambunctious December cookout. My eyes scoured the party for a place to sit down to join the festivities when I became stunned by a beautiful view whose mere presence warmed the space. I took a brave and bold seat by Alyssa, and we instantly struck our first chord of conversation in a song we’d create together. I find it hard to describe how my life changed from the moment we met, but a song that has carried us through our journey goes as follows: I used to hear a simple song, that was until she came along now in my heart I hear something new, I would hear it every time I looked at her.” Every time I’ve seen her or had the honor being in her presence has allowed me to envelope myself into every nuance that life has to offer. As if a whole string symphony met us at every turn and changed that we experienced together. Wild Hair, Cold jeans, amazing food, delicious wine, and company to last eternity; the foundation of a beautiful and long-lasting relationship was laid. Adventure is out there, and we’re bound to find it.
