How We Met :)

Alyssa's Version:

Everyone reading this knows Greg as the remarkable man he is today, but for me, he was once the cute boy I met in art class. Greg and I met in Mr. Latiano’s creative drawing class at Merrimack College. He was the boy that always set up his easel next to mine and came up to talk to me with a smile on his face. When it was time to critique each other's art work in front of the class, he always picked mine to talk about with nothing but nice things to say. We got to know each other as he effortlessly made me laugh in between classes. He asked me to grab a coffee one day. I instantly felt like I could open up to him, and that he really understood me. We grew closer singing in the car to our same taste in old songs. I knew he was the one on April 27th 2021, the first time we drove up to my happy place; Moody Beach, Maine. Not only did he know the area, but he loved it just as much as I did. It felt too good to be true, but it wasn’t. That cold spring night on the beach under the stars and a blood red full moon so large it took our breath away as it rose up from the sky, I trusted my gut and I asked him to be my boyfriend. With that, came many more friends and new people from his circle that brought so much fun into my life. I fell for him right away. I think probably our third date was walking around Jordan’s furniture and designing our dream house. We celebrated our two month anniversary with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Greg treated me the way that I always dreamed I would be treated. He continues to do so each day. The rest is history.

Greg's Version:

One of the requirements for getting my finance degree was that I had to take some sort of art class. I thought it was so stupid because what does an art class have to do with finance? Turns out, creative drawing has absolutely nothing to do with finance…but it did have a lot to do with meeting my future wife.

In our first art class that semester, I saw a very cute girl standing across the room. It was during COVID so we were all wearing masks, but I could still tell she was very cute. That first day, the class did an exercise where we swapped easels and I nervously walked over to her and asked if she wanted to swap easels with me. She agreed and I introduced myself. Over the next few weeks we started talking more and more. I told all my friends that I've been talking with a cute girl from art class. After a little while, they even started to ask me about the cute girl from art class. I eventually worked up the courage to ask her to get coffee one morning, and we really hit it off. Not too long after, I asked her on a double date to a restaurant trivia night with me and my two friends. We hit it off even more and I was so excited and happy. Long story short…we are getting married!! (FYI she asked me out!)
