Garden party formal! The vibe of your outfit should be a whimsical summer evening in Charleston. Ladies, think bright colors, pastels, florals. We ask that you gear your dress length toward midi and floor length. Gentlemen, this is a great time to break out your linen suits and fun ties/bowties.This wedding is not black tie, though we ask that men wear a tie or bowtie and jacket for the ceremony. The bridesmaids will be wearing dusty blue floor length dresses while the groom and groomsmen are wearing white dinner jackets. Please allow this information to guide your selection.

The 5pm ceremony will be followed by a cocktail hour. Food and drinks will be served during the reception from attended stations. There will be plenty of food, sweets, and dancing to go around.

The Gadsden House is easily accessible by Uber and walking from many different hotels, inns, and AirBnBs. Some of our favorites include The Dewberry, Hotel Bennett, and Hotel Emeline. Marriott and Hilton also have several hotels on the peninsula, including a couple that are walking distance to the venue.

Transportation will not be provided. There is a parking garage near the venue. We want all of our guests to arrive and leave safely. The reception will have an open bar, so please be aware of how you will be making it home :)

While we love your children, we kindly ask that they stay home for the evening. There is limited space at The Gadsden House and we cannot accommodate guests who have not been invited.
