Alyssa and Mike first met at a friend’s birthday party. We both knew our friends were planning on setting us up for prom, and they were expecting a big reveal, but we both simply said hello. The next day, Alyssa made the first move and texted Mike to ask him what soap he uses to wash his car (true story!), and the rest is history. Mike asked Alyssa to prom a few days later, and it was clear that this was going to be more than just a date to prom.

After a fun filled summer and 2 months of dating, Alyssa and Mike went off to different colleges. Although it was tough to be apart, they saw each other on weekends and winter and summer breaks, and their relationship was stronger than ever. During this time, Alyssa changed majors, Mike changed schools and career paths, and they supported each other through it all. At one point, Mike even moved to California for six months after being accepted into the Porsche Program.

Alyssa graduated from TCNJ and started her first full time job at Paychex. Mike graduated from the Porsche program and started his career at a Porsche dealership. Best of all, now they were back in the same state and could see each other a lot more. They started really planning their future together and set their sights on purchasing their first home.

A few years and a pandemic later, Alyssa and Mike finally found their first home after a long stretch of disappointment. They almost gave up the search! The house needed a lot of work, and after several months of construction, they finally moved in and were very excited to start this next chapter of their lives together. They couldn’t wait to make a lifetime of memories in Pequannock.

As you can tell from this picture, Alyssa was so surprised when Mike got down on one knee on the beach on their Atlantis vacation to ask her to marry him. It took so much planning on his part to get this very moment, and it was truly the best day of their lives (so far!)
