Alyssa and Michael first met while in college at University of Michigan sometime between 2009 - 2013, most likely at Scorekeeper's Bar or maybe at a Fiji party, though neither can really remember for sure. After college, Alyssa and Michael both went their separate ways to metro-Detroit. On March 13th, 2020, just days before the COVID-19 pandemic set in, Alyssa and Michael went on their first date to the The Royce in downtown Detroit. This quickly turned into a two-person bar crawl and they spent the rest of the night hopping between Queens Bar, Eatori, and Cafe D'Mongo. The Stay-At-Home order was enacted 2 days later and they spent the next 6 months cooking at home together, going for wine walks, and watching Tiger King before they could finally go out to another restaurant or bar. One year later, on July 3rd, 2021 Alyssa and Michael welcomed MacKenzie the Sheepadoodle into their home. On Thursday June 2nd, 2022, Alyssa came home from work at 6pm like any other day, but Michael had other plans. He proposed, she said 'Yes' and the rest was history.
