Alyssa & Keith

Saturday, November 1, 2025 • Oxnard, CA

Our Story 2017: Where It All Began Keith and Alyssa first crossed paths in the halls of Hueneme High School. Alyssa, the President of the Filipino Club, caught Keith’s attention with something he could never ignore, food and family culture. After hearing about the club’s potluck, Keith naturally found his way in.
Yet, their true connection didn’t spark until that winter. Alyssa traveled to the Philippines with her grandfather and family, and Keith noticed her roots were from Olongapo, a city not far from his own province of Pampanga. He decided to reach out, and through text messages across oceans, their friendship quietly began.

2018-2019 Senior year brought them closer. What started as light hearted conversations evolved into a deep bond, especially when Keith faced the devastating loss of his father. In that season of grief, Alyssa was a steadfast light, supporting him more than anyone else. They spent their final year of high school growing closer together and cheering each other on attending basketball and volleyball games, going to Homecoming together, celebrating Prom night, and ultimately walking across the graduation stage together. As the end of senior year approached, their paths grew complicated. Keith had enlisted in the Navy during his junior year and was scheduled to ship out after graduation. Meanwhile, Alyssa was making college decisions. When Keith’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, he reconsidered everything, choosing to stay close to family and enroll in college instead. Alyssa chose San Diego State University, and Keith, with his own roots in San Diego soon followed her. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. — Romans 8:28

2019: New Beginnings, Unseen Storms Life in San Diego felt exciting and full of promise. Alyssa moved into the dorms at SDSU, adjusting to the rhythms of university life, while Keith worked his first job at Amazon and attended school full-time. They took a big step in their journey where they exchanged promise rings, symbolizing their commitment to each other even at a young age. For a while, everything seemed perfect. Until, Alyssa came back home during her Winter Break and experienced the heartbreaking loss of her Grandpa Danilo. Following the sadness in January 2020, when the world changed overnight. COVID-19 struck, dorms closed, and classes shifted online. Alyssa and Keith returned home to Ventura County, hand in hand, ready to face the unknown. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. — Deuteronomy 31:8

2020: Our First Home and God's Provision
They moved in with Keith’s sister for a season, working at the Navy Exchange while attending school full-time. Life was uncertain, but their relationship and ambition grew. With time on their hands during lockdowns, they each launched their own businesses. Keith in the online space, and Alyssa with her beloved sweets and treats venture (yes, the famous Birria Lumpia!). Their hustle and heart opened new doors. Despite their young age, lack of credit, and modest incomes, they dreamed of their own place. Through God’s grace and a kindhearted couple who believed in them, Keith and Alyssa secured their first apartment together on November 11, 2020, a date that would later reveal itself as even more meaningful. Still living there today, their little home in Port Hueneme became their sanctuary. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate. — Mark 10:9

2021–2022: Seasons of Growth and Grace These were years of blessings and learning.
Their businesses grew, allowing them to travel together for the first time: Their first out-of-state trip to Colorado. Two unforgettable visits to Mexico. Disneyland adventures. Padres games in San Diego weekends. Buying their first Chargers season tickets at SoFi Stadium. Life brought celebrations, birthdays, holidays, family milestones like welcoming Alyssa’s new baby sister Charlotte. But it also brought sorrow: losing Alyssa’s beloved great-grandmother Dudema, and Keith’s Uncle, Tito Jay. Through laughter and grief, joys and hardships, they clung tightly to each other and to God. While Keith graduated from Oxnard College, the first degree-holder in his immediate family and Alyssa’s sweet treats business continued to flourish. I have found the one whom my soul loves. — Song of Solomon 3:4

2023: Building Faith, Building Forever 2023 tested them in new ways.
Living together for three years, juggling serious discussions about the future, and dealing with Alyssa’s heavy final year at SDSU, commuting back and forth from Hueneme to San Diego twice a week, life stretched them thin. But where pressure existed, so did God’s shaping hand. During these exhausting days, Keith and Alyssa turned deeper into their Catholic faith. They began attending Mass regularly, letting faith strengthen what the world tried to strain. Alyssa graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology, a moment of triumph celebrated with a joyful week-long trip to Miami, gifted by her dad. They cheered at more Chargers games, celebrated their fifth anniversary, and quietly began envisioning a future together — conversations of marriage softly beginning to unfold. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. — Ephesians 4:2

2024: Answered Prayers
2024 became a testimony to God’s promises.
Keith graduated from CSU Channel Islands with his Bachelor's in Business Administration, crediting Alyssa’s endless encouragement at every step. He landed a federal position working with the Department of the Navy, the dream he had once only prayed for to give back to his country. Alyssa flourished too, rising toward senior leadership at Navy Federal Credit Union.
This year overflowed with travel: A summer trip to Cancun with Alyssa’s mom and family. A Pacific Northwest adventure through Vancouver, Seattle, Oregon, and Washington with Keith’s family. In September 2024, Keith nervously asked Alyssa’s parents for their blessing and received it with love and open arms. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. — Proverbs 3:5

November 2024: The Proposal: A Promise Sealed in Central Park New York had always been their dream and God made it a reality. They spent a week exploring the city: Visiting the Statue of Liberty. Standing atop skyscrapers at every observatory. Watching a Broadway show. Praying together at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Getting lost in the beauty of Brooklyn nights. On a crisp November sunset in Manhattan, Keith led Alyssa to a stroll through Central Park. By the lake, under the skyline’s glow and near the iconic El Dorado Apartments, he dropped to one knee.
With tears in her eyes, and joy in his heart, she said yes. Let all that you do be done in love. — 1 Corinthians 16:14 Four years to the day after they moved into their first apartment — 11/11 — they had sealed a promise that had been written long before they even knew it. Angel numbers, new beginnings, and the fingerprints of God traced every step. November 1, 2025: The Beginning of Forever
From being Alyssa’s main rose in her traditional debut birthday thrown by her amazing mom over 6 years ago, Keith will soon be her husband. Now, almost a year later since the engagement, Keith and Alyssa invite you to witness the next chapter: their wedding day on November 1st, 2025. A date filled with divine meaning. A celebration of not just love but faith, family, and the One who made it all possible. We invite you to join us, to celebrate not just the union of two people, but the communion of two souls brought together by God’s perfect timing. We can’t wait to share this sacred day with you.
