Like any modern love story technology brought them together. After talking on and off online, on a whim the two decided to meet in person for the first time on September 6th, 2020. The couple spent the whole night talking and getting to know one another, and Rees offered to drive Alyssa to work the next morning. The couple was inseparable after their first evening together.

After the constant 34 mile trips back and forth to see each other, the distance only brought them closer together. On September 8th, 2023, Rees decided to propose to Alyssa in private before their 3 year anniversary dinner. The couple purchased their first home together in July of 2024 and are excited to see what the future holds.
