Our Wedding

In the Spring of 2020 after several weeks of great conversation, albeit virtually, we finally decided to meet in person. It was a sunny, late-morning for a walk around Coe Lake in Berea, Ohio. The air was warming, the flower buds were blooming, and the frogs were croaking. Little did we know that this walk would put us onto one path where love springs eternal. Alyssa knew the date went well when Danny texted her shortly after, and she was overjoyed. Our second date was at our favorite brewery in the area- Fat Head's in North Olmsted. The rest is history! By the end of 2021, we were living together, and we have created a beautiful life in Westlake with Winnie who we are absolutely obsessed with and is the light of our lives. Alyssa is adventurous and always on the go, and Danny helps ground her and keep her heart safe. We are true compliments of each other and great partners in life. We live an active and fun life, and have gone on many adventures together. Our greatest of all though, was Italy in the summer of 2024 where we explored Sicily, Capri, and Naples (where Alyssa's family is from). On July 8 in Capri, Danny proposed in a garden under a beautiful trellis. It was just the two of us, and it was a magical moment that we will never forget. After over four years of love, laughter, and commitment to each other and our future, we are SO EXCITED for this next chapter. We are ready! The love and support that we have been shown since the engagement and truly our whole relationship, has been amazing and we love spending this time with our family and friends. We are soaking it all in! We cannot wait to celebrate with those that we love most on October 18, 2025 and for all that is to come after. Finding each other and getting to spend this life together is more beautiful than our wildest dreams, and we are so blessed! "If you don't know where you come from, it's difficult to determine where you are.- It's even more difficult to plan where you are going."- Joseph Lowery Our wedding day will consist of many little touches that help tell our story with an ode to 'you can't get to where you are going if you don't acknowledge where you have been.' We are very proud of our families' nationalities and traditions; and family is very important to us in general. Alyssa has always embraced her Italian and Irish sides, and so it is very fitting that her Italian boyfriend proposed in Capri, Italy. She was also able to visit Ireland twice and found the home where her great grandparents lived in Achill Island. Alyssa's Grandma Kay and Grandpa Jim are no longer with us unfortunately, but loved to celebrate being Irish with song, prayer, laughter, poems, and celebrations. As a Saint Patrick's Day tradition, Alyssa and her family always go to St. Colman Church before heading to get corned beef, watch the parade, and drink a Guiness. Danny and Alyssa are celebrating this tradition, her grandparents, and Irish roots by getting married at St. Colman with bagpipes playing. It was important for us to share this story with you and hopefully it means as much to you as it means to us! Family isn't just anything- it's everything. It is sure to be beautiful.
