Alyssa is originally a New Englander from Naugatuck, CT. She moved down here to spend time with her new nephew and went back to school to pursue her dream of being a nurse. Turns out, nursing turned into being a nurse practitioner. Alyssa graduated from Vanderbilt University with her masters specializing in adult and geriatric care. For fun she likes shopping, boating, and family time.

Scott is originally from Nashville, TN, - as if you couldn't tell from that southern drawl. He went to MTSU to pursue law enforcement. Scott has been employed by Metro Nashville Police Department for 4 years now and is out there fighting crime, and saving lives. For fun Scott likes to play hockey, ride his motorcycle, and tries to impersonate a Boston accent.

Alyssa and Scott met through their mutual friends Emily and Josh who set them up on a trivia double date with them. Between Scott weirdly knowing what a cusp was, and the leg-elbow conversation, it led to sparks. After only a few dates, both were hooked on each other, and started dreaming of their life together.

Scott proposed on December 12th, 2015. Scott took Alyssa to see The Nutcracker performance for Christmas knowing it was one of her favorite childhood holiday memories. After the show ended he took her to the state capital across the street to look at the Christmas tree. Scott pulled a handwritten letter out of his suit pocket and asked her to read it. By the time she got to the end of the letter, he was down on one knee. A ring, a kiss, and tears of happiness sealed the deal!
