Once Upon A Time...in the land of New Berlin Wisconsin a love story began.

Brandon and Alyssa met ten years ago while participating in a play at Poplar Creek Church in New Berlin. The play was being directed by Brandon's sister, Tiffany. Alyssa and Tiffany had been friends for awhile but, Alyssa hadn't met Brandon.

Fast forward a few months and Alyssa and Brandon went on their first date, then their second date, then their third, and so on. The two became an item for less than a year before they broke up. Break-ups can be hard but, they knew this was not the right time.

Even-though Alyssa and Brandon broke up, they still kept in touch and their friendship never stopped. A few months after they broke up, Alyssa could not stop thinking about Brandon and how perfect he was for her. She reached out to him, met him for dinner at TGI Fridays, and they talked. After deep and long discussions, Alyssa and Brandon decided to give their dating relationship another shot. This time the couple was ready to take on the world, or so they thought.

Less than a year into the relationship, things were not working out as Alyssa and Brandon had hoped. Alyssa realized she needed to do more work on herself before being in a long-term relationship, with hopes of marriage. Yet again, the couple broke up.

At this point, both Alyssa and Brandon thought that after trying to date twice and breaking up twice, there was no way they were meant to be together. They were both crushed but, they took the time they needed to move forward from one another.

Fast forward eight years...Alyssa and Brandon had both dated other people since their last break-up. But, neither one of them found someone they thought they were truly meant to be with. Over the eight years, the individuals did not stop being friends but, their friendship did take a hit after the second break-up.

One day in spring of 2023, Alyssa started reaching out to Brandon to try to rebuild the friendship they had previously. The two began to chat/flirt on a regular basis for a few months. They were re-learning how to be friends again. Alyssa knew there was no way Brandon would ever consider dating her again because of their past. Her hopes were high but, she knew that it would be a long shot for this dream to come true.

In August, Alyssa was having a birthday party at Faklandia Brewing in Saint Francis, WI. She invited Brandon even-though she knew he would most likely be too exhausted to attend since the party was at the end of his RFK week. But, she was hopeful!

August 18, 2023 was the day of Alyssa's party. As Alyssa is enjoying time with her friends, Brandon walks in. Alyssa became like a gitty little girl. She was very excited that her crush had decided to attend her party. This party was a karaoke party and Alyssa asked Brandon to sing a song that she had heard him sing before. (Ask him what that song was, it may shock you! LOL) Without hesitation, Brandon sang the song and the birthday girl was happy. Once the song ended, Alyssa got up to thank Brandon with a hug. She then looked into his eyes and suggested that he owed her one more present. Within seconds of Alyssa saying her cheesy line, the two kissed.

After that night, Alyssa and Brandon knew now was the time they could be together. They were meant for each other and they both did not hesitate to act on that. Shortly after the party they decided to give their relationship another go. This time it stuck! They were so happy to finally be together and they were in it for the long haul.

The relationship was going great! The couple had many conversations about their future and they decided that they wanted to have a family. Alyssa has wanted to be a wife and a mom since she was a kid and Brandon cannot wait to be a husband and a dad. The couple decided they wanted to get married and start their life together.
