One of UW Platteville's COVID restrictions was that you could only hang out in groups with those who lived in the same dorm. Lucky for us we not only lived in Southwest Hall, but ended up learning we shared mutual friends! It only took a few times hanging out that we called it official.

We spent most of our first few months of dating watching movies, going on walks and hikes, and eating lots of take-out dinners.

Alyssa graduated from UW Platteville in May 2021 and thus began the year of 'medium distance' for us.`

Spent the next year making trips between Platteville and Pearl City each weekend while Jacob finished his final year of college.

Jacob graduated from Platteville in May 2022 and we were both able to celebrate our graduations together.

And only a week later, we packed up our things along with our two cats and moved to Rochester, MN.

Our first big vacation together was to Cancun, Mexico where we visited Chichen Itza.

Added onto our family by adopting Zeus, the fan-favorite cat of nearly everyone who comes to visit.

And as if one tuxedo cat wasn't enough, Atlas popped into our lives with a 5 a.m. phone call seeing if we'd take in a kitten found under a dumpster... of course we said yes.

We went on our first big road trip to visit Badlands, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone National Parks.

And at the top of one of the Tetons, Jacob asked Alyssa to marry him! It was well worth the 7 hour hike.

Since then, it's been a year full of wedding planning. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all!
