AJ and I didn’t meet before we started talking. We were those people who turned to dating apps to swipe for a match. I would match then go ghost for months because life got busy… you see me and AJ matched then started talking.. and yes I disappeared as life at work took a turn. I eventually came back and he was still patiently waiting. I thought there was no way he is who he says he is. Eventually he finally asked me out as he had an extra ticket to the Lee Brice concert that was a month away. I was disappointed to wait so long and even had to ask if we were still going. We first met at Chili’s to eat before we go out. We definitely enjoyed that concert and the next day I was inviting him to the beach, then the following day he invited me to pool. I thought for sure this wasn’t going to last and I was going to get burned. He was extremely patient and caring and we have both grown a lot these 4 years. We moved in to a townhouse that AJ bought that was right around the corner from that Chili’s. We adopted a dog named Charlie, went on a ton of trips and adventures. This last adventure was to Alaska on September 12, 2023 where we took a helicopter onto a glacier. AJ dropped to his knee and it felt like we were on the top of the world. I said yes! I can’t wait to enjoy many more memories and adventures as life takes us to new turns and destinations.
