How we met

Our story began in the Summer of 2011. I had started working at Firehouse Subs earlier in the year during my senior year of high school. During the summer I was able to transfer to a store that had just opened up closer to my house. Stephen came home after completing his freshman year of college. Stephen thought it would be a great summer full of hanging out with his friends until his mom gave him the bad news- he needs to get a summer job. Stephen ended up getting a job at the same Firehouse Subs that I transferred to. Little did he know thanks to his mom he was going to have the best summer. Stephen and I were great friends with our coworkers the whole summer. Stephen was flirty but I always thought we would just be friends. When I got back from trip to TN I heard rumors that Stephen was letting everyone know the entire week I was gone that he was sad and actually missed me. He eventually asked me out; that was the first and best yes of my life. According to his mom, he came home and was ecstatic and giddy about the shell that I wore in my hair during the summer. He ran upstairs so he could shower (thank goodness) and get ready for our first date.

The Proposal

I got the best Christmas present this year. I got to say yes to my high school sweetheart and the man of my dreams. Stephen brought me to Atlantic Ave where we had our first date. 7 1/2 years later he brought me to the beach where we ended our first date to ask me the most important question that I had been waiting years to be asked! Okay, maybe not years but months.
