Things to Do

Alex was in his final year of graduate school for physical therapy. Alyssa was in her final year on campus for pharmacy school. The two matched on a dating app (yes, a dating app) and bonded over their complicated programs. Once they decided to take it off the app, they spent their first date watching Hamilton on Disney+ and enjoyed each other enough to keep hanging out for awhile. Reluctant to start a new relationship because he was leaving Findlay, Alyssa finally wore Alex down 9 months after they first matched and the two began dating.

The Beginning of Our Story

While Alyssa started her advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE) rotations in Findlay, Alex moved back to the Dayton area for his final clinical rotations and to start his career as a doctor of physical therapy. After graduation from pharmacy school, Alyssa stayed in Findlay for another year to complete her pharmacy residency and Alex remained in Dayton working at NovaCare Rehabilitation. Finally, after 2 years of mid-distance dating, the two were able to move into a beautiful new apartment in Springboro.

Mid-Distance Dating

Alyssa always said she wanted to go explore the nature trails in the Dayton and surrounding areas. There was a wonderful park in Dayton that Alex suggested going with a couple of friends for a morning walk before going to the Dayton Celtic Festival downtown. The two were walking around the beautiful Wegerzyn Gardens hand-in-hand, Alex squeezing Alyssa's hand strangely tight, and Alyssa obliviously admiring the beautiful scenery. Alex was in a wedding a few weeks prior and the two never took a picture together, so they used the park as an opportunity to take some pictures. Little did Alyssa know, their friends were there to take the pictures while Alex got down on one knee and proposed!

The Proposal

With&nbsp;busy&nbsp;adult&nbsp;schedules,&nbsp;Alex&nbsp;and&nbsp;Alyssa&nbsp;enjoy&nbsp;spending&nbsp;their&nbsp;free&nbsp;nights&nbsp;together&nbsp;in&nbsp;their&nbsp;new&nbsp;home,&nbsp;planning&nbsp;the&nbsp;wedding,&nbsp;planning&nbsp;their&nbsp;lives&nbsp;together,&nbsp;watching&nbsp;ridiculous&nbsp;TikToks&nbsp;and&nbsp;Netflix&nbsp;shows,&nbsp;&nbsp;and&nbsp;playing&nbsp;video&nbsp;or board&nbsp;games&nbsp;together.
