Patrick and Alyssa met in 2019 on a dating app. They spent that first year getting to know each other. He taught her some backwoods country things, and she taught him not to work his life away.

They decided to move in together in October of 2020. They lived with his mother for a few months while they waited for their house to be built. During that time, they adopted their first puppy, Salem, who tested them both individually and as a team. In March of 2021, they moved into their new house. After many (MANY) house projects, they finally felt settled in their new home. They adopted their second puppy, Juni, who brought a whole new energy and personality to their little family.

On August 7th, 2022, Patrick proposed to Alyssa in the backyard of her childhood home in front of many of her closest friends and family. She was so surprised that it took her 15 seconds to realize what was happening. Once the wheels clicked, it was the easiest "yes" she could have ever made.

A couple months after they got engaged, Patrick found out he was going to be deployed the following year for 10 months. Although this threw quite a wrench in their plans, they made the best of things. They decided to wait to have their wedding until after he got back from deployment. They were married at the courthouse on October 25th, 2023, accompanied by only their mothers. They spent the time leading up to deployment traveling, exploring new wineries, and just enjoying time together.

Patrick and Alyssa are so excited to celebrate their love in front of all of their closest friends and family. Although this journey was not conventional, their love holds strong through it all.
