It was love at first sight when Alyssa saw Chase doing flips off the diving board at a Younglife pool party in August of 2017... or something like that LOL!

The story really begins when Chase asked Alyssa to their junior year homecoming at The Blend, a local coffee shop, in September of 2017. A few weeks later they attended homecoming together and sparks flew.

On October 9, 2017, Chase asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend after a date at the Ice Cream Shack. Of course, Alyssa replied, "I've been waiting for you to ask me that!!"

What began as friendship quickly grew into something much more. From awkward first dates to late-night study sessions, we’ve been by each other’s side through it all.

After high school, life took us in different directions. Chase attended Iowa State University and Alyssa stayed home at community college for a year before transferring to Mizzou.

Though we briefly went our separate ways, it became clear that what we shared was something too special to let go of. Life had a way of bringing us back together, and when it did, our bond was even stronger than before.

Since then, we’ve been inseparable, building a life filled with adventure, growth, and so much love. From celebrating milestones like college graduations to navigating adulthood.

As we entered adulthood, we took on new adventures side by side. We moved to Kansas City together, started our first jobs, and discovered what it meant to truly build a life as a team. From figuring out how to furnish our first apartment to exploring the city and making it our home, every step has been an unforgettable part of our journey.

Fast forward to November 17, 2023, Chase surprised Alyssa with a proposal on her 23rd birthday at Loose Park in Kansas City. As they reached a bridge covered in lights, Chase got down on one knee and asked the question that would change their lives forever.

It was a moment filled with love, joy, and happy tears—it was the perfect setting to begin their next chapter as future husband and wife!

After close to 8 years, we’re so excited to celebrate the next step in our journey with all of you—our closest friends and family. Your love and support mean the world to us, and we can’t wait to share this special day!
