After vetting each other via video chat (hello, COVID), Alyssa and Andrew decided to take the plunge and meet up for their first date. On a snowy February evening, they cooked up a beautiful meal together of Parisian gnocchi. Their sidekicks, Sasha and Moe, met each other and tolerated one another well enough. Things went so well that the two nearly forgot to watch the Super Bowl! Fun fact, that's how they've repeatedly figured out their anniversary date...

They spent a few months getting to know each other before taking the next big step - a canoe trip into the wilderness of Wyoming. As Andrew and Alyssa paddled away from shore, spinning in circles, Andrew's father Jeff must have wondered whether they would come back alive (or still together). Luckily, 4 days without plumbing, one flipped canoe, and a campsite encounter with a brown bear later, the two came out even stronger! It was after that trek into the wild that the two decided to move in together - and they haven't looked back!

For their most recent globe trot, the two found themselves in Mexico City. On the surface, this trip was all about food, historical sites and cultural exploration. The evening after visiting the ancient pyramids at Teotihuacan, Andrew surprised Alyssa with a fire-side proposal as the final course of their meal at Pujol. She said yes, they drank mezcal and the rest is history!
