This was the picture that started it all! Kyle saw this picture on a friend's Instagram and told them she was so cute! He was enchanted by her eyes and dimples. His friend told him to message her but he never got around to it...

...until Alyssa was hanging out with that mutual friend and said, "Tell him to message me!" and he did (with a lackluster opening to say the least)!

Luckily, Kyle didn't give up and Alyssa didn't either. Kyle tried again after Alyssa couldn't come to a party and Alyssa finally had it when she said, "JUST TEXT ME"

This was Kyle and Alyssa's "soft launch" after starting to officially date on October 17th.

After managing to weather long distance, the COVID-19 epidemic, moving in together, and getting (and surviving) a second cat, Kyle proposed to Alyssa during their 3-year anniversary trip to Fredericksburg!

Alyssa was so surprised because Kyle had told her he was going to wait until he graduated from his master's program. He had been planning to propose since the beginning of 2021 when he started his master's program!
