We have chosen the Grand Palladium Resort Complex in Riviera Maya for our wedding stay. There are 4 unique sections to the hotel... White Sands, Kantenah, and Colonial which are all kid friendly and you can use all of the amenities at each of the 3 no matter which one you choose to stay at. Then there is also TRS which is adults only and if you book there, you can use the amenities at all 4. In December of 2023 the Kantenah option just opened a brand new family selection side which offers brand new rooms, a private pool and beach area just for guests staying at family selection, extra activities for the kids, and more. It is VERY easy to get around to all the different sections as there are frequent golf carts to take you anywhere you want to go.

We recommend that you stay at the wedding hotel. If you do not and you want to hang out for a day, you can purchase a day pass which is $150 per person if you want to visit the hotel between the hours of 8am-6pm. There is no option for the evening so you will not be able to attend the welcome event and you will need to find your own transportation to the cruise and wedding venue if you choose to stay else where.

The closest major airport is Cancun CUN, and they just recently opened the Tulum TQO Airport as well. Both airports are roughly an hour from the hotel. You can pre book transportation from the airport to the resort by adding it on while booking your stay or you can book it directly via This Link for up to 2 guests or this link for up to 6 guests, make sure to choose "Akumal" as the destination.
