Well let's start off by taking you all back to the morning of April 16th 2019. Both of our timelines for the day we found love.
Alyssa- It started off as a normal Tuesday on spring break, I woke up and got myself ready for the day. I wasn't planning on doing much that day. When a little while before dinner my little brother, Austin, asked if I wanted to go to our church's Easter play with my cousin Joey Jr. So I said sure why not, got myself ready and headed to the church. When I walked in I texted my cousin asking where he was sitting. The play was just beginning so it was dark and hard to find him but the spotlights helped. I finally found Joey, they had to stand up to let me into the aisle way. When the guy Joey was with stood up, he turned and extended his hand. It was a weird hand shake and he seemed hesitant. He went to say his name but it came out a mumbled mess which was kinda cute how flustered he got. We exchanged glances and giggles during the entire play behind my cousin who sat in between us. I thought he was adorable but at the end of the play he kinda got up and said nice meeting you and took off ahead of us. So I figured that was that and nothing else. Until about 15 minutes later when my cousin texted me saying this guy I just met, Angelo, thought I had the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen. Shortly after we exchanged Snapchats and started talking that night about life, school, and everything in between until the early morning hours. He sent me this 40 question ice breaker thing, which kept us entertained for a while. He was so full of life and love, making me laugh all night. Everyday that week Angelo came to church where he joined in service and every night of the Easter play. He met my brothers, my mom, my dad, and my mom mom. They all loved him but of course like any parent was skeptical of this new guy they just met. But I must say after 6 years together I can say he has made an everlasting impact on each of their lives. I can also they all love him unconditionally and he is apart of my big and crazy family.
Angelo- I guess I should be honest that Tuesday didn't start normally for me, Joey called me early in the morning on spring break all excited. He said Angelo you got to come to this Easter play at my dad's church, it's really cool. I said "Oh no not me, church and I are not friends." He said come on man it'll be fun just go enjoy the show and leave. I asked if anyone was going to go with us and he said a couple friends and his cousin. So begrudgingly I agreed to go, so I put on some nice clothes on because you know church. Well we get there and we find our seats, everyone was super nice, but his cousin which I found out was Austin was running late. A few minutes later he said his other cousin was coming instead. To be honest I forgot about it and about 10 minutes the play was starting and the main lights turned off and the spotlights began going up and down the aisles as the cast was about to enter the chapel. Joey tapped my leg and said my cousin is here, stand up to let her through. I stood up and when I turned my head to introduce myself.... Bam here was this beautiful girl standing next to me the spotlights hitting her eyes making them sparkle. It was like a romance movie, I lifted up my hand to shake her hand and introduce myself. Well it didn't go well, instead of a real handshake I gave her one of those handshakes when you're kind of gripping their fingers not their whole hand. And then to top off the weird handshake I messed up name... Me the guy who can talk for days messed up my name and then went speechless unable to say anything else to her as she starred at me. The whole play I couldn't stop looking behind Joey to see her eyes glimmering with the flashing lights from the play. She caught me the first few times and it was embarrassing but by halfway through we couldn't stop looking at each other and giggling. The play ended and this poor girl had me so flustered I practically yelled at her it was nice to meet her and took off to get to the car. Well when Joey and our friends got into my car he said why'd you take off like that. I said man I don't know I couldn't believe it but I was speechless around her. He said who I said your cousin she has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen especially with that spotlight hitting them. He said oh so you think my cousin is pretty huh well I'm gonna text her and tell her. Which he did I was so mad at him but man I tell you I owe him for that text. We talked all night, I was laughing and smiling at my phone as she texted me back. That whole week I went to church for service and the play. I met her immediate family including her mom mom, she was a really sweet lady. I seen where Alyssa got her humor and good looks from. Mom mom always had her hair and nails done looking her best. The night mom mom came to the play which was Saturday night when Trish got up and walked away and Alyssa went with her. I turned to mom mom and told her I'm gonna marry Alyssa one day and I want your blessing. She laughed at first until she seen I was serious, she looked like she was about to cry. She said her pop and I love that little girl, you promise to love and protect like we have and still do. Of course I said yes, she said well then I can give you my blessing but if you hurt her I want you to know I'm gonna hurt you. I said yes ma'am I wouldn't expect anything less, Alyssa and Trish returned with no clue of the previous conversation, I looked at Alyssa and smiled. She asked why are you smiling and I just said your mom mom is just so nice and funny she had me smiling while you guys were gone. Now here we are finally getting married and I know both of our grandparents are looking down at us smiling and laughing with us on all of our shared memories knowing we are meant for each other.
