Our favorite photograph from Sanford! Morgan loves the little blue sailboat. Right before the picture, Alyssa excitedly said "let's sit on this ledge" and Morgan fell in love. It was so simple, but to him it meant she delighted in the little joys of life. To this day, we get a lot of joy from just sitting on a pretty bench.

Morgan really felt "in" when Alyssa let him meet one of her best friends, Ra'Von (the Realest). She approved of him.

This was our first time every exploring a new Floridian town together! It's now one of our favorite things to do. Morgan loved this back alley in Winter Park but thought it was missing something truly beautiful, so he asked Alyssa to pose.

This photograph is one of Morgan's favorites of all time. It captures Alyssa excitedly flipping through Morgan's high school journal, something Morgan sees as reflective of their attitudes together: always seeking to know one another.

Our last day together, right after returning from Winter Park. We look like we're smiling, but inside we were wondering how the heck we were going to be apart for 3 months!

Morgan's first (and sadly last) Pi Phi function he ever attended with Alyssa. He made a fool out of himself at the skating rink, but he must've been doing something right despite that!

Our first day seeing each other in a couple months that first summer of dating! We found a spot on this random person's boat (they never showed up!), we read a bit of The Little Prince (a recommendation by our good friend Cole Reeves), and had conversations that laid the framework for vulnerability and honesty in our relationship.

First day of Puerto Rico Project with the Campus Outreach gang! This trip turned into a beautiful opportunity for us to know each other and share adventures that we reminisce on regularly.

El Yunque rainforest; shortly after this photograph, Morgan vowed to move to the rainforest for a month because it was so peaceful.

This picture was taken on one of the best nights ever! We had a swimming adventure to those rocks at the base of the fort, and shortly after we stumbled across St. Germain, the best French restaurant we've ever had the pleasure of eating in. Our server, June, was the kindest server we've ever met! We both look back on this day with fondness; it was very influential in the development of our spontaneity together!

We're a very unique couple (and by unique, we mean super cool), so for Halloween we dressed as an old English farming couple. It stands as one of the most niche Halloween costumes we've seen to date.

Alyssa really wanted to see more of Morgan's interest (racing), so she lovingly agreed to spend 6 of 24 hours at the Vintage 24 Hour race in grueling, 55 degree conditions (which is below freezing for a Florida girl)! Morgan fell even MORE in love with her after this.

This photograph was taken at the exact location we got engaged; we were sitting in the sand right at the base of the driftwood.

Here's the quick engagement story! After a fun day recreating one of our first dates in Sanford (refer to April 23rd, 2019), we hustled way up north to Washington Oaks Gardens. On the way, we screamed our hearts out to "The Blessing" by Elevation Worship; we both agree that this was almost as fun as getting engaged! After a dud of a picnic in the gardens (where Morgan had ~considered~ proposing, but the mosquitos, ticks, humidity, and sweat changed his plans), we drove across A1A and landed at that sweet piece of driftwood. There, Morgan read 1 Corinthians 13 and explained the ways he wants to love Alyssa the way the Bible outlines. She said a hearty yes, and we held each other and jumped up and down and relished in the sound of the waves. Morgan noted that it felt EXTRA special to embrace each other that day knowing that we were officially on our way to marrying each other. We spent half of the night and the next day calling loved ones!

Basket flowers! Alyssa bought her first pot of these in Tennessee while we were there at the start of the pandemic, and she quickly discovered upon returning to Florida that they are EVERYWHERE here. They were an instant favorite for her.

Morgan always cracks up when he sees this picture; he thinks Alyssa looks so elegant and natural but that he just has crazy eyes.
