Our Wedding

It all started with a purple clothespin. Back in 2018, we were both at the same conference (BWSC)—though we never officially met. What we did do was pin the same purple clothespin onto each other throughout the week. We didn’t know it then, but something small and silly had already connected us. (Alyssa took the clothespin home, by the way.) Asa also performed the VeggieTales “Bellybutton Song” during talent night—a bold move that clearly made a lasting impression. We didn’t cross paths again until October 2024, when we “officially” met at a wedding (thanks Madeleine and Josh G.). Our first date was supposed to have beautiful walking trails but ended up being a dog park and disc golf course. Still, we talked and walked - over 9 miles in tiny circles, 43 to be exact. Since then, we’ve spent countless hours outside—walking, running a little, playing tennis (Asa’s very good, Alyssa... improving?), and watching many sunsets. Our hope is that our marriage will reflect God’s grace, love, and joy—and that everything we do would honor Him. We’re so thankful for this story God is writing, and we can’t wait to celebrate the start of this next chapter with you.
