Ethan and Alyssa’s love story is a beautiful testament to God’s perfect timing, faithful protection, and divine guidance. Their journey began in June of 2021 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where they met through the Bumble dating app. At the time, Ethan was serving in the United States Air Force, stationed at Tinker Air Force base and Alyssa was beginning her college years as a freshman. What began as a simple introduction soon revealed itself as a God-ordained connection.From the very first conversations, Ethan was drawn to Alyssa’s joyful spirit, her outgoing personality, and her radiant smile. Though distance often separated them, they placed their trust in the Lord. For more than a year, they faithfully endured long-distance dating, driving countless miles to see one another, learning that true love is built on sacrifice, patience, and unwavering faith.In 2022, Ethan faced one of the most difficult decisions of his life. When the government mandated COVID-19 vaccinations for the military, Ethan prayerfully chose to honor his convictions and was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. Trusting in God as their refuge and strength—just as Psalm 91 reminds us, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty”—Ethan stepped into a new calling of service. He moved to Texas to become a Texas DPS Trooper stationed in Odessa, where he protected the Texas border.With courage and faith, Alyssa followed where God was leading their hearts. She transferred her college education to Odessa and moved to stand beside Ethan, trusting the Lord’s plan for their future. Through long hours, uncertainty, and sacrifice, they leaned on prayer, confident in God’s promise of protection: “For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” (Psalm 91:11)After a year in Odessa, God opened the door to a new season. Ethan and Alyssa moved to Alyssa’s hometown of Katy, Texas, surrounded by family and community. Ethan continued his commitment to service as a Harris County Precinct 4 Constable, while Alyssa completed her college journey and now serves students and families through her work with Katy ISD.Along the way, God blessed them with their beloved fur baby, Huckleberry, a constant reminder of the joy and love God pours into their lives. Through distance, career changes, sacrifice, and uncertainty, Ethan and Alyssa’s love has endured—sheltered under God’s protection and strengthened by faith. On December 14, 2025, with grateful hearts, full trust in the Lord’s plan, and surrounded by family and friends, Ethan asked Alyssa to marry him, and she joyfully said YES!!Anyone who knows Ethan and Alyssa can see the love, peace, and purpose they share.
