Love, peace + good health, Alyssa, Tyler & Family •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Alyssa and Tyler first met in the summer of 2014 in Seattle, WA. Alyssa escorted a small youth group up to Seattle from Sacramento, CA.&nbsp;They made the 12 hour drive for a community service trip to serve the Ballard neighborhood alongside&nbsp;a newly planted church named Vona (which means "hope" in Icelandic). Tyler was the music leader at Vona and prior to that had worked at a summer&nbsp;camp in Bellevue, WA, including working as a cook. With his&nbsp;experience cooking at home and at the camp, Tyler filled in as the group's chef for the week. Tyler planned days of creative and tasty home cooked meals that won over Alyssa's heart. She never has stopped talking about Tyler's pancakes! The two remained friends and Alyssa dreamed of going back to Seattle to serve the Ballard community again. During the summer of 2015, Alyssa had an opportunity to help a community again, but this time she was sent to Tennessee. There, she spent her summer encouraging young people and speaking hope into their lives with her team. During this time, due to Alyssa's extreme work hours, she was unable to communicate much over the phone so&nbsp;Tyler&nbsp;wrote her letters. He would collect beautiful flowers all over his neighborhood and press them into his kind and eloquent correspondence that she would eagerly read any moment she had. The couple underwent several months of dating long distance, but they made frequent visits to each other and continued to send each other letters. Eventually, Alyssa fulfilled her dream of moving to Seattle. Tyler flew down to Sacramento and together they made the trip up&nbsp;Highway 1.&nbsp; During their time in Seattle, they shared a passion for their work in the coffee industry. They enjoyed their days off together on the beach and in the mountains, taking ferries across the Sound, and shopping at the neighborhood farmers' markets.&nbsp; Tyler proposed to Alyssa on Christmas&nbsp;2015 in Seattle, WA. They eloped on June 29, 2016 in Seattle and honeymooned by car-camping through British Columbia. Shortly thereafter, they returned to Sacramento where they are now happily married with their dog, Marionberry Pie. Both are continuing their education and still make time to adventure. They are so excited to celebrate their love with you and finally share&nbsp;a&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;with the people they treasure!&nbsp;

Angie and Alyssa have known&nbsp;each other for over 29 years...because they're cousins but also, best friends! They share a love for Disney and frequent the parks together any chance they get. It truly is a special thing to find a dear friend in someone you're related to and the bond Alyssa and Angie share definitely exemplifies that. I love you, Ang!&nbsp;

The City of Folsom celebrated the completion of the Johnny Cash Trail on October 14, 2017 - a 2.75 mile Class I bike and pedestrian trail that winds west toward the Folsom Historic District and east toward the Folsom Lake Crossing Trail. The trail has two beautiful bridges inspired by the local landscape including the architecture found at nearby Folsom State Prison. The trail is a popular outdoor recreation enthusiast destination for walking and biking and local wildlife and inspiring scenery can be viewed throughout the trail. The City of Folsom is currently advocating for and fundraising to install a world-class linear public art experience that will celebrate and honor the legendary Johnny Cash, his music, and his history in the City of Folsom.
