Isaac Conrad and Alyssa Thomas met at Lutheran High School of Saint Charles. They shared many classes over the years, beginning with Old Testament in their first year. Though they did not cross paths much outside of class through the first three years, during senior their friend groups began to merge, leading to many fun adventures. These experiences led Alyssa to develop feelings for Isaac, which led to her asking Isaac out. Still, the two decided to wait until their schedules' cleared up to make anything official.
On December 7th, Isaac took Alyssa to Walmart for the first time, along with their friend group. After a trip filled with laughter and unforgettable fun, Isaac accepted Alyssa's offer to go out with her the following day.
However, after only three months of dating, Covid swept the nation and, like many others, separated them from each other. Through this period, they kept their love alive through FaceTime calls, distanced outdoor walks, and seeing each other in two-week increments. This period was difficult for the two as their senior year began to disappear bit by bit. However, they continued to do whatever it took to be a rock to each other when it felt like the world was falling apart.
Throughout this period, the two individually discovered they had something special and wanted to be together for the rest of their lives. On June 8th, 2020, their 6th-month celebration, they found that June 8th, 2024, landed on a Saturday, a great day to get married. From then on, they decided to try to hold fast to each other through four years of long-distance for college and get married on that exact day.
Since that fateful day in June, Alyssa and Isaac have successfully stayed together through long-distance and got engaged on Alyssa's 21st birthday. They then began planning their wedding for June 8th, 2024, just as their 18-year-old selves wished. Alyssa and Isaac are incredibly thankful and grateful to their family and friends who have supported them individually and collectively over the years and are excited to share their day with everyone!
