Once upon a time, May 2021 to be exact, Alyssa came home from college for the summer and began working at Pluckers again. She switched jobs at the restaurant from hosting to serving and on her last day of server training Drew came up to her and asked if she wanted to go out with him that night. Well, kind of. He had a big group of friends working there including his brother, people from high school, and a few he got working there and he invited Alyssa to get a drink with all of them at Applebee's after work. She wasn't 21 yet but heck it was an Applebee's. Drew was super sweet and talked to her the whole time and even bought her a $2 Long Island Iced Tea. Neither of them are 100% sure how it happened but they ended up spending almost everyday together. On August 8, 2021 while on a vacation to Galveston with their friends, Drew finally asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend. As a true procrastinator he waited until a week before she was supposed to move back to Denton for school. Over the next few years they made trips back and forth several times a week until Alyssa graduated from UNT in May of 2023. She officially moved in with Drew in July, though she pretty much lived there for the whole summer. Drew surprised Alyssa with a trip to Mexico for her graduation but the real surprise was his proposal. Again, not really because Alyssa was 95% sure that it would be happening on the trip and had been gathering evidence for months.
