Alyssa moved from Elkton, Virginia to Hondo, Texas in October 2022. Her first night in Hondo, she got convinced to go to the only bar in town, The Shop. Jake was there (like he was most nights) and as soon as Alyssa walked up, he introduced himself and offered to buy her a beer. They talked all night long at a picnic bench outside and 2 months later reconnected at a wedding at Quihi.
