High Camp

Located at the top of Palisades Tahoe is Palisades High Camp (formerly Squaw Valley High Camp) where you can take in uninterrupted views of Lake Tahoe and the high Sierra Mountains. Palisades High Camp offers a diverse range of activities that cater to adventure seekers, nature lovers, and families alike. To get there, you start your journey in The Village at Palisades Tahoe and embark on a 10-minute Aerial Tram ride. This ride offers breathtaking views of the high alpine region and views of Lake Tahoe in the distance. Once at High Camp, you can explore the beautiful alpine meadows and rugged mountain peaks through various hiking and walking trails. For a more guided experience, join the free North Face Guided Hikes, led by knowledgeable Mountain Hosts who can enrich your exploration with insights about the area. For those who enjoy unique activities, High Camp has a mountaintop roller skating rink open whenever the tram is running. This activity offers a fun and picturesque way to spend your time at 8,200 feet. Additionally, the nine-hole disc golf course provides a casual yet challenging activity, complete with panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada.

A short 10 minute drive from Everline, Commons Beach in Tahoe City is the perfect spot to relax and soak up Lake Tahoe’s beauty. With sandy shores, grassy areas, and amazing views of the lake and mountains, it’s a great place to hang out. You can swim, have a picnic, or just kick back and enjoy the scenery.

If you’re looking for a fun and scenic adventure, the North Lake Tahoe Bike Trail is a great pick! The trail starts in Tahoe City, which is only about 15 minutes from Everline Resort, and takes you on an 11-mile ride along the lake to the beautiful Sand Harbor State Park. The path is paved and mostly flat, so it’s easy for everyone to enjoy—especially if you rent an e-bike to make the ride even smoother.

Once you get to Sand Harbor, you can make a whole day of it. Swim in the crystal-clear water, relax on the sandy beaches, or set up a picnic in one of the shady spots. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even rent a kayak or paddleboard and explore the lake. When you’re ready, just hop back on your bike and enjoy the ride back to Tahoe City.

Need a bike? No problem! There are a couple of great spots to rent from in Tahoe City, like Tahoe City Bike Rentals or Olympic Bike Shop.

Truckee, CA

Take a short drive to the charming mountain town of Truckee, just 20 minutes from Olympic Valley, and spend the day exploring all it has to offer! Stroll through the historic downtown, filled with unique boutiques, art galleries, and plenty of cozy coffee shops. Grab lunch at one of Truckee’s delicious restaurants, like Bar of America or Moody’s Bistro.

If you’re into history, check out the Truckee Railroad Museum or the Donner Memorial State Park and Emigrant Trail Museum, where you can learn about the region’s past. Truckee is the perfect mix of laid-back mountain vibes and small-town charm—ideal for a relaxing and memorable day!
