Daniel and Alyssa matched on Bumble (the dating app) on May 20th 2020... it took a month before they accidentally "met".

Daniel's apartment in downtown Raleigh happened to be right above where Alyssa parked her car for a girls night out, and they waved to each other several stories apart, Romeo & Juliet style.

Their first date was at Bond Brothers Brewery in Cary, where they wound up staying for 3 hours talking. One month and three dates later, it was clear to both of them that this was something bigger than they thought it'd be. They became "official" August 21, 2020.

After 3 years together, with trips around the world, a global pandemic with quarantines together & apart, and being by each other's sides through some of the best and hardest days imaginable... Daniel got down on one knee on July 19, 2023.
