The invisible string theory is the idea that the universe itself is stitched together with unseen threads, all of which lead us to our destinies. This really is just a metaphorical concept to explain how some people and things just seem to keep finding their way back to one another. This explains our love story.

Tyler and I met each other at Maranatha Bible Camp (North Platte, NE) in 2009. We were introduced by a friend that travelled with Tyler's church group and from that moment, I was smitten. Tyler and I immediately became friends on Facebook and started the beginning of a long friendship. We both visited the same camp in 2010 and realized we might like each other more than friends. When camp ended and we attempted a long distance relationship at 12/13 years old, we realized that maybe friends were the way to go. I was still obsessed with Tyler (As all my childhood friends can attest) but friendship was better than nothing!

So that is all we were, for YEARS. We were two very best friends, rooting each other on, from a distance. We watched each other grow up and that is something I will hold dear to my heart forever. We kept in touch throughout the years but our type of friendship didn't need constant communication. We were both separately living our lives and we would reach out every so often for updates.

In 2018, I had just moved back to Nebraska and I really wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go. I had reached out to Tyler on Facebook one night because we had a silly memory pop up and it changed everything. That one Facebook message turned into many texts, calls, and facetimes with a few trips back to Colorado. Everything felt super natural with Tyler and I knew that this was an opportunity that I had been patiently waiting on since 2010. So, I took the risk and packed up all of my stuff and moved back to Colorado with Tyler. I had no job or plan but I knew that this was going to last. It was hard work on both sides but we came out on top. The amount of growth we have both experienced personally and together has been one of the greatest outcomes of this relationship. We are both very excited to continue this growth as husband and wife.

16 years of friendship and 6 years of love. A single sentence that holds so much but so little. We both look forward to growing both of those numbers and spending the rest of our lives together. Thank you for being apart of our special day as our separate paths become one. No amount of time with each other will ever be enough, so we will start with forever.
