Erin Hacker - Maid of Honor
Erin has been the friend that I never knew I needed. We had gone to school together since Kindergarten, but our friendship did not form until I joined the cross country team in high school. From there, our friendship slowly grew as we uncovered more similarities between the two of us, whether it was hobbies we both enjoyed, challenging life events, and even co-captaining teams together. Despite spending much of our post-high school years apart, we always pick up right where we left off when we're together. I know that I can always count on Erin to be a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and an honest sounding board of advice that I can always trust. Our friendship is in it for the "long-run."
Josh Born - Best Man
Man, where to even start? First and foremost, I just want to say how proud I am to have my brother standing by me as my Best Man on my big day. Growing up, I can 100% say that I was the annoying little brother. The one that would get on his nerves for no reason, argue with him just get him riled up, and mess with him just because I could. We didn't have a lot in common, but what we did have in common usually ended in some kind of brotherly fight. While Josh was always outside, hunting, and fishing, I was always playing and watching sports. Nowadays, our relationship is a lot more relaxed and joyful. Often times it is spent joking around, hunting together, and spending time with our family. Josh is one of the most selfless people I know. His goals, wants, and needs will always take a backseat to those that he loves most. Not only am I proud to call him my brother, but I'm proud to call him by Best Man.
Aimee Wisniewski - Bridesmaid
Aimee and I met through Relay for Life our Freshman Year at SVSU. Soon after taking on leadership roles, our friendship moved beyond the club. Although I am usually the "mom" of the friend group, I can certainly say that Aimee has taken that role from me; she is always overly prepared with a plan and whatever else you can think of. Aimee is has such a kind heart and always considers the feelings and perspectives of others in all situations, which makes her great at giving level-headed advice when needed. She is not only a great friend to have around, but also an amazing Elementary School Teacher.
Austin Zettle - Groomsman
To state the obvious, Austin and I met through Alyssa. I'm not going to lie, I was intimidated. However, spending more time around Alyssa's family and Austin, I realized that he is a kind-hearted person that would do anything for his family and friends. That even included picking me up at 12am after a rough night at CMU.... Nonetheless, I'm super excited to have Austin by my side as I officially get welcomed into the family.
Allysa Dankert - Bridesmaid
Allysa is not only Jon's sister, she will FINALLY be my sister (-in-law) once we're married. Allysa has been the closest thing that I have had to a big sister and is always looking out for Jon and I as well as offering us advice on a multitude of big-life decisions. She is pretty much down for anything: trying a new place to eat, concerts, or helping out with any projects we have. I knew as soon as I met Jon that Allysa has played a huge role in his life and that she, as a big sister, would always have his back and that has continued to hold true throughout our years together. I am so excited for the future adventures, memories, and to be an official part of the family :)
Griffin Kwaiser - Groomsman
I first met Griffin in high school, but we didn't become close friends until later. When I think of Grif, I think about the large number of adventures we have been on together. A wild trip to Kalamazoo, a scorching hot opening game for UofM football, New Years Eve parties, and Higgins Lake trips. One things for certain, it's always a good time when Griffin is around. Happy to have him by my side for the big day and excited for all the adventures in the future!
Jenna Zettle - Bridesmaid
Jenna has been by my side as long as I can remember! Jenna and I have birthdays that are only one day (2 years) apart. This not only made us close, it also gave our moms the perfect opportunity to buy us matching outfits for all family events growing up. As a child, I was not at all onboard with the matching outfits, but it has definitely given us something to look back on and laugh. I do not have a little sister, so as we grew up, my younger cousin was the next best thing. There are so many foundational memories that I share with Jenna, from my first sleepovers, spending time at our cabin, trips to Cedar Point, driving her to and from cross country practice in high school, to now having a lifelong friend that is also family.
Jared Berry - Groomsman
I can wholeheartedly say that if it wasn't for Jared, I don't know where I'd be. As an 8th grader, switching to the public middle school was about the scariest thing I could of done at the time. As a shy and quiet kid, Jared picked me up, showed me the ropes, introduced me to his friends, and stuck by my side. From the first middle school football practice until today, Jared has always been there through the greatest of times and the worst of times. Where I am quiet and reserved, Jared is outgoing and lighting up the room. Mix that in with all the similar passions that we share and it created two life-long friends.
Madisyn Jonas - Bridesmaid
Madisyn and I met our Freshman Year through Relay for Life at SVSU and found ourselves in many of the same classes in the following years as we were both Social Studies Secondary Education Majors. We began spending time with one another between classes and from there our friendship grew. Whether I was sleeping on the floor at her Pine Grove apartment or sharing her at Orchard Manor, I will forever be grateful for all of the late-night conversations that we had at our frequent sleepovers throughout college. Distance has made our sleepovers far less frequent, but I know that if I ever need someone to talk to, Madisyn is only a text, call, or FT away.
Josh Dankert - Groomsman
As of May 2023, Josh officially joined the family when he married my sister Allysa. Even from the beginning, it was pretty clear that he would fit in with my dad, brother, and myself as he shared a similar passion for dirt bikes, snowmobiles, and trucks. Josh is always there for an adventure, a good time, and a good laugh. Happy to have him in the family.
Keegan Cameron - Groomsman
Keegan and I, unofficially, met in grade school when Trinity would play against Zion Bay City in basketball. Officially, we met during high school as we shared the court again, but this time on the same team. Him and I share a few important qualities: tall, lanky, and quiet. Throughout my time knowing Keegan, I've always felt that our similarities were a comforting space and something that makes us click. Even to this day, when he comes home (from Florida), we always make time to dust off the String Bean connection on and off the hardwood.
Nick Nellett - Groomsman
Everyone has that one friend that is just on top of everything. Going out? He already knows where. Not sure what to do this weekend? He's got plans ready. Need help with something? He'll be there. That's Nelly! From the beginning of high school until now, he has always been a great friend to me. From playing pond hockey, watching sports in his parents basement, and going to each other's sporting events to standing in each other's weddings. I can't think of a better story line and a better guy to share all the experiences with.
Ryleigh Trierweiler - Bridesmaid
Ryleigh is soon-to-be an official part of the family! The countdown is also on for Ryleigh and Austin the tie the knot. If you asked me a few years ago if I thought my brother would be getting married soon, my answer would be "NO!" Not too long after that, he and Ryleigh met and she put some pep into his step. If you have ever met Ryleigh, you know that she always has a smile on her face, is kind to all, and is maybe one of the most easy-going people that I have ever met. She is not only loved by my brother, she has the love of our entire family.
Kyleah Hernandez - Flower Girl
Kyleah is the smartest, sweetest, and most smiley 8-year-old that you will meet! I have loved having the opportunity to watch Kyleah grow up. I am so glad that I have been able to be there for some of her first steps (and falls), first words, yodeling, and most importantly, developing her own personality that is kind-hearted to all that she meets. When Kyleigh and I have sleepovers, there is no doubt that we will be watching a movie on Disney Plus, eating popcorn (and maybe some ice cream), cuddling on the couch, and picking on Jon as he interrupts our girl-time.
Jacob Zettle - Usher
This might come at some surprise, but Jake was actually the first Zettle that I was friends with. Long before Alyssa, I spent many weekends at his house playing video games, backyard football, and basketball. Jake has always been a great friend to me and a familiar face in a new extended family. It's never a dull moment with him, but I am pumped to be officially part of the family!
Mike Wenglikowski - Usher
Big Mike! My first interactions with Mike came during the many backyard football games we used to play during our first couple years of high school. I didn't know much about Mike, but I did know that we shared an equally strong love and passion for all things sports. Fast forward to today, Mike is all the way across the country serving our nation as a member of the Navy. Even though we are in different parts of the country, different time zones, and different work schedules, nothing keeps us together like our Michigan Wolverines.
