Nate and Alysse first met at bible study while attending Indiana Avenue Baptist Church. They each came to Lubbock for different reasons, one for work and the other for college. All the while God had a perfect plan.


Nate eventually asked Alysse out for coffee which turned into lunch afterwards. After a series of dates, Nate asked Alysse to be his girlfriend and the couple began to grow in Christ and love.


On June 14th, Nate got down on one knee and proposed. While Alysse was in Hawaii visiting her sister mid-May, Nate coordinated lunch with her dad to ask for his blessing. When Alysse got back from her trip she expressed her disappointment that he did not take that opportunity to talk with her dad. Not wanting to ruin the surprise, Nate agreed and didn't say a word. Nate thoughtfully asked weeks prior what ring she would like and while Alysse gave him an idea, he exceeded her wildest exceptions and gifted her the perfect ring to symbolize their commitment to one another.


The couple is beyond excited to journey through this life and grow in faith together.
