During his summer break from college, Daniel volunteered as leader at the Edge program with Holy Family Parish. During the last night, Alyssia decided to tag along with her family to assist for the evening. As she walked into the church she caught Daniel's eye whilst he chatted with other leaders. They were then awkwardly introduced to each other by Alyssia’s mom Marifa. where Daniel hit it off. As the night began, Alyssia was taking photos when suddenly Daniel drew her into the water fight, with the use of a wet sponge . This apparently worked in his favor as they exchanged contact information not long after. They started talking daily and hanging out as much as possible. The rest is history.
