Alyvia and Derek both ended up in the DC area by chance in 2016--Alyvia from Linglestown, PA, and Derek from Lancaster, PA. Derek was just starting his first job out of college; Alyvia beginning graduate school. Our first date went so well that even the waitress couldn't believe that we hadn't met before!

Alyvia moved to Philly for her doctoral program. We continued dating, long distance, for a year.

Derek left his public accounting job in DC, started working for Constellation in Philly, and moved to join Alyvia.

We gained a new brother-in-law, Kyle!

After living in Philly separately for two years, we rented our first place together!

We welcomed our first nephew on Alyvia's side, Jaxson!

We welcomed our first nephew on Derek's side, Bryce!

We got engaged! Derek planned a beautiful surprise engagement at a waterside gazebo near Boathouse Row in Philadelphia. The surprises didn't end there--he had also planned a private dinner for both our families at Giuseppe & Sons in Center City.

We gained a new sister-in-law, Jackie!

We welcomed our second nephew on Alyvia's side, Holden!

We're getting married, and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
