Ben and Amanda's story began with a leap of faith and a touch of old-fashioned romance. In June of 2018, they were set up on a blind date — no texting, no small talk beforehand, just a single photo of each other and a map. Ben, determined to keep things traditional, insisted they wait to speak until they met in person. The day before their date, Amanda received a map from her friend, carefully crafted by Ben, with an "X" marking the spot where he would be waiting. Nervously, Amanda made her way to Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa, stepping far outside her comfort zone in search of a complete stranger. As she zoomed in on the map and scanned the park, she spotted someone who looked like Ben standing on the Riverwalk — but he was wearing gym clothes! For a moment, she considered turning around, thinking he must have come straight from a workout. (Funny enough, their friends had neglected to clarify what "casual attire" really meant!) Despite the unconventional first impression, their date went off without a hitch. As they made their way to the Sail Pavilion, the skies opened up, drenching them in an unexpected downpour — but not even the rain could dampen their connection. That evening marked the beginning of an adventure that would span years and miles, with countless trips between Sarasota and Tampa, and journeys around the world. Ben's adventurous spirit soon became contagious, opening Amanda up to a life she never imagined. In October of 2023, under the mesmerizing Northern Lights in Iceland, Ben made Amanda's dreams come true. After five unforgettable years, he got down on one knee and asked her the question she had been patiently waiting for. From a blind date to a lifetime of adventure, their story is a testament to taking chances and embracing the unexpected. They can’t wait to begin this next chapter together, surrounded by the people they love most.

Amanda and Britney met in 2009 when they were matched as Big and Little in Tri Delta. While they didn’t know it then, God knew Amanda would need Britney’s love and guidance—not just in college, but every day after. Amanda still calls her “Big,” a nod to their roots. Britney has always been the calm Amanda needed, and Amanda couldn’t imagine her big day without her Big by her side.

Ben and Allen have known each other since childhood—their parents were college friends, and their dads started a business together. They reconnected in their twenties and have been inseparable ever since.

Ben now lives next door to Allen, and they even built a path between their homes. Amanda and Allen’s wife, Ashley, joke that the guys text morning and night. Ben couldn’t imagine this day without his lifelong friend by his side.

What should I wear?The dress code for our wedding is formal. We want you to feel comfortable and fabulous while celebrating with us. Please no white/ivory dresses.What time should I arrive?The ceremony will begin promptly at 2 pm so we recommend arriving at 1:30-1:45 pm to find your seat and get settled.What happens between the ceremony and reception?We have a little "Catholic gap" between the ceremony and reception, so we’ve put together a list of fun things to do nearby. Please arrive for cocktail hour at Oxford Exchange promptly at 6:30pm.What’s the weather like?Sarasota and Tampa are usually warm and sunny, but it never hurts to check the forecast closer to the date.
